I recently finished reading Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath and
although the novel was dominated by the themes of Transcendentalism,
Jeffersonian Agrarianism, Pragmatism, Humanism, and the overall need for
Socialism in a selfish, money-driven America, I can’t help but parallel the
Joad family with the Beverly Hillbillies. Is my interpretaion a bit
sophomoric?

I’m concerned about Internet privacy. I have read recently that companies like DoubleClick track surfers based on the cookies on your machine, and that they have recently begun tracking people based on their actual name- so they know exactly who you are.
